Dodge Deora mild custom

I finished this one up a little bit ago and finaly got around to posting it.  For those who don't know the history of this truck, it was created in 1964 by the Alexander Brothers who started with a stripped down dodge A100.  Chrystler was nice enough to provide them with a truck, however their backup plan was to go to Ford and get one of their cab over trucks.  But they were able to get the A100 and after two years of fabrication the dodge deora was  the result.

This is the Deora that rolled out of the Alexanders' shop in 1966.  Oddly enough, the Deora uses multiple ford parts.  See the exhaust on the side, those are taillight covers from a 64 1/2 mustang!  This truck was also one of the original 16 Hotwheels cars.

Here is my version of the truck.  It is mostly stock with a few variants such as custom exhaust, interior, paint, bed cover, and a more agressive stance.  I thought about what I wanted to do with this kit for a while before I built it and I am glad I took the route that I did.

The kit hinge for the opening windshield is pretty bad, so I built it to be displayed open which is why it doesn't close well.

Here you can see the altered stance.  I hate to say it but to be fair the paint looks a lot better in the pictures than it does in real life.
