With just a few weeks before its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the next generation Porsche 911 has been caught testing, in both coupe and cabrio versions, with only light camouflage. Even though some details are still being hidden under some tape, its clear that the future 911 has been given some LED daydriving lights and a change in overall size and shape.
The new 911 will feature design elements from both the Panamera and the 918 Spyder concept including larger front wing pontoons which house all-LED headlights, slightly deeper side sills, door-mounted wing mirrors, and a more significantly sculpted rear end.
Under the hood, Porsche has placed a new 3.4 liter direct-injected flat-six engine that delivers a total of 350 HP at 6400 rpm and max torque of 280 lb-ft between 4400 and 6000 rpm. Depending on the model, the sprint from 0 to 60 mph will be made in about 4.5 seconds, while top speed will go up to 188 mph.
